Restoring emotional resilience, hope, and dignity for youth and women affected by conflict, displacement, and trauma across Africa.

Young people in conflict-affected communities—and especially those living in Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps—face daily emotional stress caused by violence, loss, poverty, and instability. These experiences shape their identity, limit opportunities, and create long-term mental health challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and hopelessness.

For young women, the psychological burden is even heavier due to gender-based violence, caregiving responsibilities, and lack of support systems. Amid overcrowding, uncertainty, and disrupted schooling, mental well-being becomes a crucial part of peacebuilding and community development.
